4 easy, yet very important, tips to keep in mind while training in the darker and colder days.

1. INJECT YOURSELF WITH 'VITAMIN N'
This stands for: dare to say NO. That's the first and most important rule. If you've just started training, or you're back at it, doing a reset, going for a personal best, whatever reason... When you're dedicated: know when to say NO. NO to that late night snack, NO to the group who has already poored out this 'one last beer' for you. NO to that extra training when feeling overconfident. NO to your kids who want attention, but you're all set to start training. NO to going faster in the last five minutes of your training. NO to zone4, when the program says Zone2... It's all about setting your priorities straight. And enjoy it.
*'vitamin N' is inspired by E. Kipchoge.
2. AVOID COMPLAINING
It rains? So what.
It's cold? So what.
Nobody loves a cry baby...
Start positive, fight the elements, use them as a part of your training.
Running or riding in a group? Salute each other in a positive way. Start with: Vamos, let's go! Instead of: damn, I'm tired and it's cold...
Because everybody knows: you'll end up happy after your training. No matter what.

3. LISTEN TO THIS MIXTAPE
If the first two rules don't get you out of the couch, this will: MIX
Nothing wrong with some good old pounding retro house music to get you through these stormy nights. Or on Zwift, the treadmill...

4. COME TRAIN WITH ME:)
Well, hello there. I'm a coach. I train people who start running, who want to conquer their first trailrun. Who want to go to the alps to run everywhere where possible. I Train people who enjoy riding, or even swimming. Or a combo of all the above. Get in touch, it'll be fun.
I have no problem looking over your shoulder. Need some extra guidance? Someone who can explain it all, in a very easy and clear way. That's me. Don't make it difficult, keep it simple and fun.
